Safeguarding

At the Church of the Good Shepherd we are committed to high standards in the safeguarding and care of children, young people and vulnerable adults.

We believe that safeguarding is not an optional extra. It is an essential part of the church’s mission to care for the vulnerable and create cultures where people are not afraid to speak out if they have been harmed.

This means embedding safeguarding practices in every level of church life, from leadership training to pastoral care, just as we try to instil doctrinal safeguarding in every part of our ministries too. It means ensuring that all allegations are reported to the proper authorities, with no exceptions. Due process matters.
